FLORIDA SUN CLASSIC

Davie United SC is pleased to announce and invite your club/teams to participate in the Florida Sun Classic. The tournament will be played from December 28-30, 2024. The 2024 Florida Sun Classic strives to become one of the most competitive tournaments by bringing together a great variety of teams from Region III and beyond. The tournament is for select teams of all ability levels. The Florida Sun Classic will be a great tournament to add to your holiday schedule.

The Florida Sun Classic is sanctioned by Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and is open to all US Soccer members (US Club Soccer, AYSO, USSSA).

DATES
The tournament will be played from Saturday, December 28 through Monday, December 30, 2024.

​

LOCATIONS
The Florida Sun Classic will be held at Bamford Park, Davie, Central Park, Plantation, and in the City of Coral Springs, FL.

LEVELS OF PLAY​

​

GOLD: U9-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
High-level Division I teams from across Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Gold Divisions.

​

SILVER: U9-U19 Single Age Group BracketsDivision II teams. Teams from across Florida are expected to participate in the Silver Divisions.

​

BRONZE: U9-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
Bronze Division is primarily for recreational teams and new travel teams seeking comparative competition.

U9 Future Stars (U08 Teams): The U9 Future Stars division is set up for U8 teams only. Note that the U9 Future Stars will play under the U9 rules.

​

U11 (U10 9v9 Division): U10 teams and players preparing for 9v9 soccer for the 2024/2025 season. Please note the U11 (U10 9v9 Division) will play under the U11 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U11 fee ($900.00).

U13 (U12 11v11 Division): U12 teams and players preparing for 11v11 soccer for the 2024/2025 season. Please note that the U13 (U12 11v11 Division) will play under the U13 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U13 fee ($975.00 per team).

 

All applications must be approved by the tournament committee.

 

REGISTRATION DATES

Registration deadline November 24, 2024 ($50.00 increase in registration fee after November 24, 2024).

All teams must register online. Teams may pay by credit card online. Teams/clubs wishing to pay by check should make their check payable to Davie United SC, note the registration number on the check memo line, and have a copy of the e-mail entry confirmation. Checks to be mailed and addressed to:

• Make payment either via credit card or by check. No applications will be considered or accepted without payment.

• Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee is received.

• Any team not accepted will receive a refund.

• Any team that withdraws after the November 24, 2024 application deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

 

ENTRY FEE 

$850.00 for U09 and U10 (playing 7 v 7)
$900.00 for U11 and U12 (playing 9 v 9)
$975.00 for U13 and U14 (playing 11 v 11)

$1025.00 for U15 and older (playing 11 v 11)

Registration fee INCLUDES the referee fees. Entry fees received after the deadline of November 24, 2024, will automatically incur an additional $50.00 late fee.

 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT 
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

​

U09 and U10 teams play 7-a-side and may carry up to 12 players with 4 guest players allowed
U11 and U12 teams play 9-a-side and may carry up to 16 players with 5 guest players allowed
U13 to U19 teams play 11-a-side and may carry up to 22 players on their roster with 6 guest players allowed
